Dr. Maria Rana is a pharmaceutical scientist and Principal Scientific Officer at the Green Institute of Biomedical and Environmental Sciences (GICBES). She specializes in nanoparticles and polymer-based drug delivery systems, with a research focus on developing innovative nanocarriers; including lipid–polymer hybrid nanoparticles, niosomes, and plant-derived nanomedicines; to improve drug solubility, bioavailability, and therapeutic performance. Her work is dedicated to advancing safe, effective, and patient-centered drug delivery strategies. At GICBES, Dr. Maria plays a key role in leading research initiatives, mentoring emerging scientists, and fostering academia–industry collaborations to accelerate biomedical innovation.
