Dr. Yousef A. Bin Jardan, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics, College of Pharmacy, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He earned his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Alberta, Canada, in 2017, after completing his Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at King Saud University in 2009. Licensed as a pharmacist by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties since 2010, he also serves as a Collaborative Research Group Leader at The Green Institute of Chemical, Biomedical, and Environmental Sciences (GICBES), where he supervises projects leading to high-impact publications and patents.
With over a decade of academic and professional experience, Dr. Bin Jardan has contributed significantly to teaching, research, and administration. He teaches pharmaceutical calculations, biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, and internship training, while also holding leadership roles such as Graduate Studies Coordinator, Director of the Experimental Animal Care Centre, and Assistant Vice-Dean for Graduate Studies & Research and Development & Quality at the College of Pharmacy.
His research spans analytical method development for drugs and metabolites, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, drug metabolism, and drug–disease interactions. He is also active in nanomedicine, novel drug delivery systems, computational drug design, molecular pharmacology, and toxicological evaluations. His work has been published in leading journals and has contributed to patents in targeted drug delivery and therapeutic approaches for neurodegenerative and metabolic disorders.
Dr. Bin Jardan’s academic achievements have earned him multiple honors, including the Distinction Award for Academic Excellence from the Saudi Arabian Cultural Bureau in Canada, graduate honors, and travel awards from the University of Alberta.
Through his expertise in teaching, research innovation, and leadership, Dr. Bin Jardan continues to advance pharmaceutical sciences and education nationally and internationally.
